Wonderful

(5 out of 5) by Bret Sarlouis on Jun 27, 2000 (Johnstown, PA)
The Sharp VCA4213U 4Head VCR is a wonderfully versitile machine. The viewing quality is absolutly brilliant, with 250 lines of resolution on the TV screen. Rewinding a video takes only seconds with the built in 400x motor that reduces wear on the heads, for a longer lifetime and extended use of the VCR. The AMAZON.COM price is extremly affordable and SHARP products are just as reliable, if not better, than the leading electronics producers.

It is a peice of junk!

(1 out of 5) by Michael salas on Nov 8, 2000 (San Antonio, Tx USA)
I bought 1 of these VCR's and liked it and then bought another 1 for my sons room.During some bad weather the lights went out then came back on after about an hour. These peices of junk did'nt work anymore,I found it strange that the only electroic equipment that went out were these "SHARP VCR's" I took them to a VCR shop and the guy told me that SHARP makes these VCR's with cheap no good parts. I am out 2 VCR's and($).I am so disapointed with ... Company. They told me that it was not thier fault.Let me stress all my other electonic equipment was fine! ...

Perfect for the kids!

(3 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Jun 30, 2000 (California USA)
This is a great low end VCR with a matching price tag that makes you feel confident putting it in the toy room! I really wanted a unit that had front connectors so we can make tapes from our digital video camera.

Decent VCR

(4 out of 5) by Bill on Jun 26, 2000 (Philly, PA)
I've had the VCR for almost a year. No problems as of yet. Lacks some features of more expensive VCR's.

Great product, but needed a few cables.

This is a good product. It does everything similar to instructions booklet.

The only thing is if you have a new TV, you would need to get Audio and Video cables (A/V). They are the red and white audio, and yellow video. Then, the VCR channel can be set to Video 1 and you will have a picture.

The shipping was very fast and the setup was easy.
