High Qualiy at a low low price

I bought this receiver mainly to allow the playing of background music in the dining room. The quality of the sound reproduction astounded me, the pavilion mode of sound is truly amazing, for example 'The Dance' CD is reproduced with a perfect realism. Classicl music is a joy, but the reproduction of live performances is so good as to be addictive, even with my cobbled together set of speakers. Truly amazing value.

I'm new to surround sound and all this new decoding stuff.

When my twenty year old "Stereo" (excuse the dirty word) went south, I needed a replacement.

Well, you can't buy a "stereo" any more.

This unit gives me what I want, good sound at a good price.

I'm very happy,
