A Great Pen

(5 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on May 19, 2000 (Lilburn, Georgia)
I love this pen! It's very practical and good looking. The stylus is the best one I've ever used. It's also a steal- my co-workers and family think I paid twice the amount I really paid. I highly recommend buying this pen.

Simply fabulous!

(5 out of 5) by M. Birdsong on Nov 21, 2000 (Los Angeles, CA United States)
This pen is perfect!! I was looking for something that I could take to a meeting and easily switch from writing on my Palm to writing on paper. And with one easy twist of my new pen that is accomplished! No more setting down a pen to pick up my stylus! I also liked that it came with a red ink option because I prefer to write in red ink so I can differentiate between printed words and my notes easily. I suggest that you buy this inexpensive pen for yourself and your PDA owning friends! :)

Great 3-in-1 pen

(5 out of 5) by Britt Schramm on Nov 17, 2000 (Reston, VA USA)
I have looked at other 3-in-1 pens but this is the one that caught my eye. First of all, it looks and feels great. The pen has some substance and it actually helps when writing on your PDA (personal digital assistant) versus the provided stylus. It is also cheap enough that you don't feel that you're making a huge investment in a fancy stylus that you might lose. The pen is also great when using it as a pen or mechanical pencil. Just turn the upper portion and the tip changes from stylus to pen. The pencil is located on the opposite side of the pen. The ink flows very well on any type of paper. The pen even comes with an eraser (located when you unscrew the top of the pen). It is a great gift for any PDA user as well as your favorite gadget fiend, I mean friend.

These are great pens

(5 out of 5) by Paul Alivisatos on Dec 16, 2001 (Oakland, CA USA)
I have been using pens from the Platinum Company for about three years now, and I am extremely pleased with them. Unlike some of the other reviewers, I have had no trouble switching between pencil, pen, and PDA stylus. I think it is well made. It is not made out of metal, so it is not as heavy as the picture suggests, but it is still very robust. Whenever I lose mine, I replace it. I have also ordered replacement ink cartridges on several occasions, and it is easy enough to replace them. I am very satisfied with this pen.

It twists, then it doesn't!

(2 out of 5) by Milhone on Jul 27, 2001 (Chicago, IL)
I bought this stylus/pen about 3 months ago and thought it a bit pricey, but very convenient. I don't care for the "feel" of the typical stylus - uncomfortable to hold and use for any length of time. I also kept finding myself at meetings where I needed a pen for notes or signatures as well as a stylus for my HP Jornada and this was the perfect answer, for awhile. ... plus shipping is a high price to pay for a three action pen that got firmly stuck on one point after 3 months of use. I pulled out my box to see if it was guaranteed, and it isn't. For me, it is rare to break a pen, I'm much more likely to lose them. I didn't do either to this one, one day, it just quit twisting -- I don't intend to repeat my mistake with another Platinum.
