Excellent for it's purpose! Exceptional value!

I bought these after my son lost my Sightron SIII compact binocs. My Sightrons were over $300, and I'd put the optics on these as equal. The color filter really does work to bring out browns/animals from the greens. I initially wished I had bought the 8x28, but the refurb price on the 8x22 was so good I couldn't pass them up. I'm glad I didn't!

These definately are for still/stand hunters, not for someone who will be glassing all day. Due to eye fatigue, these hunters will need 8x40 or bigger. They are also nice to keep in the truck!

Enjoy, and good hunting.

Steiner,there is no substitute

I bought these from Amazon last week. They came very quickly. The packaging was vey good. The Binoculars where undamaged and in perfect condition. The optics on these are superior to anything I have ever owned. They are not the most powerful, but considering the size, they get the job done. Bottom line,if you are looking for a compact pair of Binocs that are well made and light weight, forget the others,go with Steiner

Good for the money, but not very high power.

As expected, the quality of the mechanism and optics was superlative. That said, if size and cost aren't issues, you are better off buying a set with more magnification and a wider field of view.

Spend a bit more, get the best.

Steiner has long been known for quality optics, and this binocular certainly lives up to hype. There are binoculars, and then there is Steiner. These are light-weight and great for bird or animal watching while hiking, or just looking out into your yard. Steiner ranks up there with the very best, and at a price that's still affordable.
