Sweet system!

(5 out of 5) by Gerald E. Murray Jr. on Oct 2, 2000 (Denver, CO)
I bought this system instead of the FPS2000 for two reasons (1) price (2) convenience. Without the room for rear speakers and wanting to get the most from my X-Gamer card I wanted a system that worked with the digital out on my sound card. This system is GREAT! Full and rich sound courtesy of two great speakers and a subwoofer. The Matrix soundtrack sounds better on these than on my new stereo. If you don't want to spend a lot but want great quality (especially if you have a Creative Live! soundcard) then you can't do any better than these.

THE BEST 2 SPEAKERS I EVER HEARED

(5 out of 5) by Wesley Hsi on Dec 25, 2000 (Claremont, CA USA)
These set of speakers are the best out of all the speakers I tested (Moonsoons, Yamaha, Alta Lansing...etc. The bass gives a nice deep sound which can shake your house if you allow it too. The two satellites are very powerful. These two satellites are more clear than my 250$ stereo speakers. Buyers, These set of speakers are a must if you are looking for the best 2 speaker system.

Unbelievable quality and power

(5 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Apr 28, 2002
Sound quality - superb, everything is so clear and a very full sound. Watching movies on my computer has been so much better since i got these speakers. Also, the quality for playing music is excellent. Everything is very clear at both low and high volumes.
Power - real loud, and the subwoofer is real loud and adds to the fullness of the sound. you can really feel the base.

These are the best 2.1 speakers ! They rock !

(5 out of 5) by Nishant A Agarwal on Oct 20, 2001 (Los Angeles, CA United States)
I have a DELL Inspiron 8100 notebook. It had a S-video out with a digital S/PDIF out. So, I was contemplating upon how to make use of that. I browsed around for suitable speakers and then I found out the soundworks digital. I connect them to the digital S/PDIF out of my inspiron, and man they do give some great, distortion free sound. The bass is excellent. At very high volumes, it doesnt sound that great. Dont except them to blow off a dance floor with full volume, but for a audiophile and gamer like me, they are really value for money. Go for it !
Only one slight problem I noticed, that after installing the speakers first time, make sure to attach the volume control cable and turn it on, otherwise the speakers will remain off. I was confused at first and thought that the spearkers were not working , but after I twisted the volume cable on, they did and boy they do sound great ...

Value for money !

I saw the speakers and thought, it'll be great for my home pc. When I got the package, my pc was with my sister so I thought, I'll connect it to my TV to see the quality of sound it can produce. I hook it up and disconnect the mini-hifi system that I had connected to the TV.

My wife insist that we tried the speakers with the Jurassic Park movie, just to compare it's bass reproduction capabilities. Boy, It sounded much better than the mini-hifi system that was originally in it's place.

After a few more movies and live concerts, I decided that the speakers should stay connected to the TV. The very same day, I went out to get another one, for my PC.
