Not Working After Two Months

(1 out of 5) by R. Nelson on Nov 27, 2009 (Washington, DC United States)
I have had this CD changer for less than two months and it has just quit working. The carousel won't turn. So, I've had to take my system hookups apart, remonve the Pioneer CD changer from the mix, unscrew the cabinet and take out all 290 or so CDs that I have by hand from the top. Even with that the carousel won't move. So now I can wrestle with Pioneer service (I bought the unit via Amazon) to see if I can get it fixed between now and Christmas and at what cost to myself.

Mechanical Failure at 1 year

(2 out of 5) by B. K. Esch on Oct 25, 2009 (South Bend, Indiana, USA)
A year and 10 days after purchase, there was a clunking noise as the CD changed, That was that: the mechanical arm that loads the CD into the player compartment broke. Instead of going the repair route, we are changing over to mp3 and lossless formatting. Consider the extended warranty if you really want this machine!

Disappointed

(1 out of 5) by P. Shore on Oct 21, 2009 (south carolina)
After just purchasing this product I spent hours loading 300 cd's and cataloging them so I could tell where each cd was located. I proceeded to set up the 5 files of custom preferences, try each, and found the next time I turned on the unit all the customized files were erased. I repeated the process three more times and had the same results. Contacting customer service to determine what if any errors I made I was informed that the unit must be faulty and to return it to the store where I purchased it. Not satisfied with that response I called customer service back later in order to speak with another representative. This person at least ran me through the steps that I had taken, only to confirm that I did everything correctly. He advised that the lithium battery was apparently no good and unable to store the file memory. I now had to manually unload all 300 cd's and return the unit to the store for a refund. In the meantime I am awaiting delivery of the Sony changer that I should have ordered in the first place.

Junk

(1 out of 5) by RMG on Jul 23, 2009 (Orange County)
Broke three of my CD's the first day I owned it. I blame myself for buying 1990's technology when I should have invested in MP3 / Ipod technology (which I did). CD's and CD changers like this are dead technologies. Sorry, but that's the way it is.

Amazon compensated me with a $20.00 credit for the broken CD's, so they certainly have done their part. I love Amazon.com.

Love it

It works well. I leave my stereo on all day and it is holding up well. The stereo doesn't tell you what disc is playing but that is fine with me.
