works well for music

(4 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Sep 27, 2000
I've used the memorex 80 minutes to write data and music and have not had any problems with either one. I find it a very reliable media. I burn them with a Sony writer. The writer you use makes as much difference as the media.

I simply love it!

This is a very good CD-R pack. The CDs themselves are good in quality, and the spindle is good for their storage. This is the only CD-R brand that I have been since the past 4 years, and I can safely say that I'm very satisfied with the quality, durability, and reliability of the Memorex 50 CD-R pack. I personally won't settle for any thing else. I just bought 6 packs so far within this year and am very satisfied, and therefore highly recommend this product for all your CD-R burning needs!

Very Reliable

(5 out of 5) by Sheldon on Feb 25, 2002 (Aspen, CO United States)
I know not all brands of CD-Rs work in all burners, in DVDs, or in all car players, and I know buying a spindle of 50 is a gamble, but the odds are definitely in your favor if you buy these. The only coasters I've made have been my own fault, and they work in my home CD player, my DVD, and both cars. Read the other reviews here and you will see that the bad reviews are few and far between, again putting the odds well in your favor. And at less than 50 cents each...

Great discs!

I've almost burned 75 of the Memorex discs, and have not had one "coaster" yet. The 700 MB limit is great, as well as the 16x speed capability. I can burn at 12x without any problems (I have a PlexWriter 12/10/32A). Plus, the cost is nice and low.

how can you go wrong?

(5 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Sep 10, 2001 (Phoenix, AZ, United States)
Personally, these cd's work just fine for me. I have a laptop w/ a built in cd burner and the quality is superb. Perhaps people who are having trouble with them use a diffrent software that I do- Adaptec Easy CD Creator 4. So, whatever, all of my friends with burners (18 to be exact) use Memorex cds, so 18 of us can't be wrong; we use software from Adaptec to iTunes and beyond. Granted, all of us have built-in R/RW drives. So, best of luck to y'all.
