I've always had problems with pixelation on a few channels on my digital cable when I split it for Tivo using Tivo's supplied splitter. Line amps didn't help. This product did the trick, and for solving this little headache I would have paid more. Try this out if you are having similar problems with signal degradation due to splitting your cable.

I replaced the 97 cent splitter that I bought at the store. I expected better or at the very least the same level of performance. I use this between my computer and TV. My bandwidth dropped from ~2mbs to ~400kbs. I thought I had hooked it up wrong, so I checked it. No dice, I gave it a 2 instead of 1 because it looks nice and my TV picture is the same or a little better. Wish I had my [...] back.

I'm quite shocked at the blatant shilling for this product. Some of the reviews are even reposted with the exact same text from months back. Beware when reading marketing text posing and actual customer reviews.

My boyfriend and I had gone to Radio Shack to buy what we thought would be a good splitter for my satellite/VCR hookup with my TV. When we looked at what they had to offer my boyfriend figured then and there that it wasn't going to work but we bought it anyway for $[...], needless to say, he was right. It didn't work, not even a little bit. I searched on Amazon.com for the splitter I needed and due to the high recommendations I read on the site I ordered two of the Monster Cables and they're working great. Since then when I go to any electronics store I haven't seen any splitters quite like these so I would highly recommend using the Monster Cable TGHZ-2RF (Two Gigahertz Low-Loss RF Splitters For TV & Satellite 2-Way 2 Gigahertz) especially for your satellite - you can't go wrong.

Works great for what I needed. I, in general, don't care about brand names but I've heard of monster before and it was a good price.
