Finally, fast external storage for laptops

(5 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Nov 28, 1999
Tired of lugging around slow parallel port R/W storage drives for your laptop? The Clik! is fast (uses internal buss/pcmcia connection), highly portable, low cost, and one of the newest toys on the block. It is what the floppy replacement should be. Besides, it comes with its own stylish brushed aluminum case which fits in your pocket (when not stored in the Laptop, which is where I keep mine when not taking it someplace for show & tell). Now I just need to figure out what to do with my regular Zip drive and CD-ROM writers with their multi-pound power supplies. Still useful but heavy.

Best Invention of the Century

(5 out of 5) by Christian J. Wittak on Dec 7, 1999 (San Diego)
Amazing device and possibly the best invention of the century. How they fit everything into that little type II package is unbelievable. The performance is great and 40 MB is plenty of capacity to fit 99% of my needs. Love it!

Terrific

It's fast, tiny and easy to install. The small carrying case never fails to impress either. I like to use my Clik! disks to backup all the files I care about from my laptop. Everyone I know thinks it's one of the coolest things they've ever seen. It's a bit pricey, though.

Awesome Product - Way too expnsive here

(1 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Nov 10, 2001
I have one of these drives and use it to free up some of my hard drive space. I truely am amazed at the ability and capacity of the Clik Drive. The only problem is... you can buy a new drive at about the same price as the used drive is listed at. All the same features and a whole lot cheaper. Just look around a little more for it else where.

Just what the programmer ordered!

This is a superb product for all of us travelers. You just shove the lil' sucker in your PCI slot, and forget about it. 40 MB of bite size storage, who could ask for more? It's about as easy to install on your notebook as it gets, and with the docking feature you can trade large files with your desktop with the greatest of ease. Forget lugging around an extra external drive, when the only time you ever have to remove the PCI drive is to look at it, smile, and say "Thank you Clik!". With as great a product as this, it should really be called Slik! Ha!
