This is just to let anyone know who is planning on purchasing a DVD player, that the Kenwood DV-303 DVD Player that I purchased from Amazon.com is the most awesome DVD player that I have ever owned and I have had three in my household prior to this one. It performs exactly as they say. It has wonderful picture quality and superb sound. It is very easy to use and I am 100% satisfied! I just want to thank Amazon.com for having such a great website and for having such quality products available to me.

My first DVD

(5 out of 5) by Jennifer on Nov 24, 2000 (Seoul, South Korea (military))
This is the first DVD that I have ever bought. I bought it because of the customer reviews here and that my husband is a Kenwood freak. I love this thing and best of all I did not have to purchase any extra cables or hook ups of any sort. Just plug it in and your ready to go.

Kenwood beats them all!

(5 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Jun 26, 2000
I love this dvd player. It is much better than the two other ones I have had (Sony, and JVC). It seems to play everything I put in it. I have a Kenwood 3090 Receiver and the 3260 cd changer and it just completes the entire set

Setting the Standard

(5 out of 5) by The Master on Apr 2, 2001 (New Jersey)
I must say, that I am extremely pleased and greatly satisfied witht his DVD player. This is currently my second player, my first one was a Toshiba model. I must say, the difference between the two is unbelievable. First, Let's look at the price. The Kenwood homepage says this model sells in stores for $450. What is Amazon selling it for, $220??? Add on shipping of what, $10, and a $450 DVD player for $230. A $450 DVD player for $230!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Second, this DVD player is absolutely fabulous. The playback is very CLEAR and LOUD! The way I like it. I have the player hooked up to my TV by S-Video, and man oh man, is it clear and sharp! The picture quality easliy deserves 5 stars. But that isn't what blows me away witht his plaer, it's the sound. I have it hooked up optically to my Dobly Digital Stereo, and all I can say is, that I rock the house with it. This player utlizes the sound on DVD's. My first DVD player lasted me only a year and half, because the sound quality was poor. I've had this player for 5 months (and counting...) and I have absolutely no plans of replacing it. When the time comes to replace it (because the machine died), I must say that I will purchase another Kenwood form Amazon.Com. A High end player, for a very reasonable price. I've visited Circuit City & Best buy, and neither carry this player in their stores. But when I visited the high end electronic stores (in my area), they all carried this. So what does that tell you?
