Great for the Money
I've use the Sony CX-255 for over a year now and I love it. A couple of features are missing, which is very frustrating: 1) You can't shuffle or listen to two or more groups at a time. For example, you can create up to 8 group settings like Classical, Rock, Christmas, etc. But you can only shuffle through ALL 8 groups or ONE group, you can not choose Classical & Christmas. 2) Only 13 characters of text for naming a CD. I suggest if you want these features spend more money.

A good deal for the money, especially from Sony
The CX225 is a really good deal for a Sony 200 Disc changer. and you don't really realize how great a changer is till you get one. If you have a lot of CDs and want to listen to them fairly this sony is great. The optical out is nice, and it changes fairly quickly.
The only downfall is the block system, which is a nice convenince, but you can only put 25 CDs in a block and you cannot play from multiple blocks (all 200 discs or just 25).
If you have more money to spend ... go for the higher end players with CD-TEXT, but the insert organizers that came with the 225 work fine for me. If you are on a budget like me, leave the money for MORE CDS!!

Good value. Missing features.
This is a great value for a good-sounding 200 CD jukebox with a digital out. I personally like the block system. You can shuffle within each block, which is great. If you want to listen to Jazz, shuffle within your Jazz block. It keeps you from getting bored of your collection. HOWEVER: I was mildly dissapointed to learn the features don't match the ones detailed in the Sony site. Actually they don't even have the right photo of it, Amazon's is more accurate. This unit does NOT have a Custom File memory or a Delete Bank as shown on the Sony site. At least it's not mentioned anywhere in the manual. The unit on the Sony site displays text which this unit does not. But for the money it's hard to beat.

Doesn't peform basic function
I own the 200 disc changer. It worked for about three weeks, after which it started chewing up discs. When the carousel turns, discs get caught on plastic parts designed to hold the discs in. The result is: discs get scratched up, the system freaks out, complete mayhem. This was not a one-off event; it recurred often. Give Sony time to get the technology right. They are not there yet.

Destroyed several CDs
This thing does not work. I could never get it to play more than one CD before it jammed. It seems to just toss CDs around inside. I never could figure out what the problem was, but it scratched several of my CDs to the point that they were unplayable. Avoid this!
