Fantastic multi system VCR

Well, quite simply I think this VCR is fantastic. It is easy to use, easy to install, easy to everything. Just pop in your videotape and watch it - doesn't matter where it's from, the VCR decides what system it is and decodes it. Are you a Brit Abroad? You need this. Now you can get all your mates back in blighty to tape the good stuff for you (big train, the fast show, shooting stars, you can't get any of it here you know) and you can watch it with ease. If you really want to, tape your favourite shows in PAL and mail them back to your friends. I am extremely happy with this VCR.
If you are from france, you may not want this item, since according to the manual, it doesn't deal with the french version of SECAM (only the most expensive ones do - that's the french for you, always have to be different).
Other good stuff - it automatically switches voltages, and doesn't have a hard wired power cord, so you just get a new power cord if you move to another country, plug it in, and bob's your uncle! You can take this VCR anywhere.
Now if someone would send me all the Alan Partridge episodes, I would be really happy. Ah well.

Best Birthday Giftever

THis is the best thing there is, This VCR and its technology should be avaiable to everyone, it breaks the barrier of zones and unites the world.
I don't have to worry about the tapes I receive from India, Germany and France ther are all diffrent speed formats but once inside this VCR I can watch them any time with out running to a Video Conversio comapany and waiting three to five day to view important information.
I can record my information in format supported locally by my clients and send them a tape which they can play in their VCR back in their country.
This is the greatest VCR ever, Samsung also makes onebut the picture quality is not as nice as in this one.

I wish I'd known that this player was around before DVD...

Wow! I couldn't believe my eyes when I first found this player. With the push of a button, you can play elusive NTSC, SECAM AND PAL vhs tapes! A regionless VCR! With over 250,000 movies on VHS and only around 20,000 in print on DVD(legally)....well, it was nice to finally see some of the finest films ever made that were not released here in the US AND then tape them over to NTSC format!
I can't stand having a limited selection of anything....especially movies and if you want a regionless player, this is the one to own!
Down......the power supply is a downside if you are abroad. I think that if these were priced more-reasonably than the original price of $600...THE MX-100 may have saved the video industry from disaster! Think how many mom and pop stores wouldn't have had to close! Think of the selection of a world-wide market!
JUST THINK of movies unedited by MONOPOLY companies like BB!!! Different endings to your favorite films! No cheesy subtitles and, best of all, these players capture the full beauty of the PAL format (better resolution than our own but always looks bad on PBS when converted).....
This is the best VCR ever MADE and the only one you should own....makes me wish I still had my vhs collection but I sold it years ago....
Well, there's always laserdisc!

Excellence personified

I've used this for 2 years now and cannot fault it. It plays tapes from all over the world flawlessly. The best feature, though is this: I have kids away in college overseas; I can record US programs out to PAL format and they can view them in Europe on their local TVs. Many other top-rate features too numerous to list.
