No technical support/cheap components

(1 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Jan 20, 2001 (Flagstaff, AZ USA)
I originally purchased this alarm to upgrade an existing factory GM keyless entry (no alarm) with the alarm feature. The Bulldog alarm did not allow use of the existing factory GM keyless remote to arm and disarm the system. The remotes supplied with the system had a very cheap feel to them compared to the factory GM remotes. I contacted the technical support number twice to discuss posible options to arm and disarm the system with the factory GM remotes. On two occasions, I could not contact a live person and left messages. I never did receive a call back. I was left with no option other than return the alarm and shop elsewere. I would not recommend this alarm, as there is no technical support.

Amazing Alarm

(5 out of 5) by V. Ratan on Oct 7, 2000 (St. Augustine)
I just bought this alarm and did the installation my self. The installation instructions were great. Naturally the installation of this particular alarm is not for the rank armature but if the instructions are carefully followed a regular DIYer would have no problem. The features of this alarm is truly amazing at compared to alarms costing even three times as much. It is really the best value for money in car alarms that I have seen. I had one cause to e-mail for assistance and the reply was very prompt and helpful.

Bulldog 6002 review

(4 out of 5) by Big John on Jun 13, 2001 (Indiana - United States)
Installed two of these units. Primary alarm use was the current and shock sensors. Works great. The siren is good and loud. Instructions are easy to follow and the system provides a lot of extra capabilities. A supplimental device was also added to complement the Bulldog. Installation took 15 minutes on each system to decide location of siren and wiring harnesses. Another 10-15 for a hidden location for the control box (not under dash)(size of cigarette pack). Harness connector is keyed so it fits only one way. Arrived in less than one week.
