Absolutely Lovely Camera

(5 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Oct 25, 2001
I have enjoyed the privilege of owning several point-and-shoot cameras, and out of all of my experiences, the FujiFilm DL Super Mini Zoom Camera, is truly the most wonderful of them all. The camera is simple to use and contains many features you would expect on a much more expensive camera, like the choice of either automatic or manual focus and date feature, not to say that this one is cheap. The camera is constructed out of beautiful high quality brushed aluminum and incorporates a lens far superior to most point-and-shooters, giving it the ability to take absolutely splendid photographs. The small size of the camera also comes in handy when on trips or if you need to whip it out hastily to take a once in a lifetime photo. And wherever I go, everyone that sees it is like, "I love this camera!" or "I want one of these!." The sort of enviousness they feel to your splendid investment makes you feel godly. All in all, I would recommend this camera to anyone who refuses anything but the best in quality and design. Buy it, cherish it, and use it forever. This is the camera for you.

Incredible value, small, and very cool!

(5 out of 5) by Abester on Apr 12, 2000 (USA)
I bought mine almost 2 years ago and it still performs flawlessly. I espeically like the small size, light weight, and the durable and attractive aluminum housing. The lens is very good and the controls are easy to master. Oh, and it takes great pictures! This is the camera I pack when I'm hiking at 14,000 feet or when I want a small camera with me on vacation. I own a Nikon F100 SLR with a couple rather large and heavy f2.8 lenses but for most of my snap shots I just use the Fuji.

Best camera for the value and price

(5 out of 5) by dakun Xu on Mar 24, 2000 (California, USA)
I love this camera because it does almost everything for me as a P&S camera. It has a very good lens called Fujinon EBC in which Fuji used it on their professional medium format camera. The smart flash system will reduce the hot spot (over exposure). This over exposure of flash is commonly seen in most of the P&S camera. The all metal body shield makes this camera durable and stylish. The exposure compensation and backlight compensation plus a very good viewfinder are very useful features.

Very good lens, smart flash and Best value

(5 out of 5) by dakun Xu on Mar 21, 2000 (California, USA)
I agree with other review writers. There are not many people know about the Fuji EBC lens. Normally, Fuji used this lens for their media format camera. It is a very good lens. Some time even better than some German lens. This lens gives your very good skin tone and contrast and sharpness. The smart flash will not produce a hot spot in which you commonly found in other P & S camera. The +- 2 exposure compensation gives user a chance to override the auto exposure meter. The LCD panel automatic light up for easy to read the technical data when you use this camera in the dark. All metal shield is very good to protect the camera body and increase its value. I love this litter camera very much.

Excellent sharpness and color rendation

(5 out of 5) by Jung Oh on Apr 28, 2007 (Mission, Texas)
I used many 35mm PS cameras such as Ricoh GR1s, Yashica T4 Super, Rollei Prego 90, Leica Z2X, and Olympus Infinity 80 and etc. This camera is compare to the Ricoh GR1S in sharpness, and slightly behind in its color saturation, and less distortion. It show flare and weak red eye reduction, and weak flash power. I purchased $40 + S/H from ebay. It provides quite impressed fine images in detail. I think it is one of the finest PS camera in its class. Its sharpness is compared to T4 Super (can not distinguish), but it has zoom. Reliability is slightly behind T4 zoom, but very fancy design and great photo quality that no PS camera can beat in this price. I strongly recommend it and my wife suprised when she review the output images.
