Nice fabric covering
Works fine, just the right size and comfort and NOT the the "tackiness" of the usual smooth-plastic ones.

Finally found the right pad
This is the first gel pad I've tried and its been the best mouse/wrist pad I've had. I had several stiff rubbery pads with similiar wrist supports but the gel in this one works so much better than those did. I have to agree the gel is not very yielding or form fitting but I think I prefer it this way. It is not hard at all but neither is it like the gel in an ice pak at room temperature which is more akin to water.

Excellent
Excellent product, not a bad price, really helps my wrist out. After about a month the wrist rest is starting to slightly compress in the middle, but it is not very noticable and is probably common.

Not for Optical Mouse (Is there any other kind today?)
My Logitech Cordless Optical mouse works better on the table surface than on this mouse pad. In fact it works better on almost any surface, including my sofa. A waste of money for an optical mouse.

Supports the wrist, but bad for laser mouse
The shiny black surface reflects a laser mouse erratically. I had to throw another white mouse pad on over top of it, which looks pretty lame, but does the trick. The wrist support is fine, and the smell only lasts for the first few days of use (or maybe I just got used to it).
