OK for Pictures, not video

(2 out of 5) by rsbohn on Oct 10, 2001 (Orem, UT USA)
This device works with Windows 98 (Windows ME with a download from the manufacturer's web site). Macintosh is also supported. It can only capture 160x120 mpeg video on Windows. Not what you want to digitize your video collection. Still, works well enough for the occasional video email. I found the software rather inflexible, and I wonder why they support a higher capture rate on Mac than on Windows.

For the money, there is nothing that compares

(5 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Nov 11, 1999
This product is incredible (Dazzle doesn't do a good job of indicating that it captures moving video as easy as it does still pictures from the video source.) The hardware installs in minutes and the software is about as user friendly as you're going get for video capture. If you are looking for high resolution video capture, this is the wrong product for you. The software and manual make setting options easy and the quality of the still images and video is just fine for a sub $100 product. I am sorry the other people had bad experiences, but if you purchase this product for the purposes it was intended to serve, you too will give it five stars!

Exemplary USB interface with GUI Razzle Dazzle

(5 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Aug 21, 1999
The initial purchase was easy with the assistance of amazon onlines product data. Dazzle Photomakers installation process entailed plug in peripherals with self install CD. This install was an extremely user friendly process and incorporates a software user's guide with illustration and verbage edited for all levels of knowledged based technos. Initial Graphical User Interface (GUI) on screen softened the anxiety level with its almost 3D presence and architecture. The first video to still image MPEG proceeded without a hitch and the drag and drop media manager was the icing on the cake. Any user questions were already addressed in an enclosed registration and support document. Overall "DAZZLE" Photomaker far exceeds its counterparts.

Never got it to work....

(1 out of 5) by Darrin on Dec 19, 1999 (Loveland, Colorado)
After a number of re-installations and re-boots, I called the company, who sent me an upgrade disk. It caused errors as well. After calling about them, and getting no help, I returned the product.

Immediate disappointment!

(1 out of 5) by Tess Leonard on Nov 10, 1999 (Phoenix, Arizona)
Auto insert installation didn't work. After install...several attempts and reboots later...just a grey box stating database not found. It's going back to the store the same day I bought it. Ease of installation should really mean just that.
