Panasonic ROCKS!
This CD player is wonderful. It never skips (unless you like to pound it with a sledge hammer!) due to the Anti-skip Memory II, the head phones sound great and are very comfortable, and the design is awesome. Some reviewers complained that the voices sounded fine, but the music didn't; that's true only if you don't push the head phones all of the way in. If you do this, then it sounds great. Another thing that is quite cool about this is that if you use re-chargable batteries, then you can re-charge them with the CD player. It comes with a plug-in that allows you to re-charge your batteries while still in the player! Another thing that come with it is a belt with a spot for the CD player. Excellent for when you go jogging, walking, or biking! It never skips! There is only one flaw that I have found though; the display isn't the easiest thing to read...But overall, this is an awesome portable CD player. It's is great for joggers, people who accidently drop/abuse their electronics (the clumsy ones...like myself), and anyone in need of a top notch CD player! You're going to love it! Enjoy!

Belt needs work, but CD Player is top notch!
I agree with the sentiments on the neoprene belt...mine is splitting after 2 months of daily 3 mile jogs. However, I can count on one hand the number of times it has skipped, and these were scratched CD's. Great quality player, and the headphones are comfy, too.

Simply Awesome
Panasonic is the leader in futuristic electronics. The Panasonic Shockwave CD Player represents the future standard for portable digital audio. The unit has excellent anti-skip technology. The 40 second anti-skip buffer is more than enough to absorb any pounding you can give it. I use mine on the road, in the car, running, you name it. ***NO SKIPS***. Also the unit is made with a super strong poly-carbonate body so it can also withstand lots of tough environments including heat. The sound quality is excellent and the XBS bass boost gives your music more muscle. The headphones included sound great and have a deep pounding bass. You even get an AC adapter (purrrfect!!!). Its loaded with neat features including Program Play, Random, Resume, a built in battery charger -NEAT!!!-, you can even turn off the futuristic anti-skip technology and save battery power if you wish. This is the CD Player I only used to dream of. Now its here. If don't have a Panasonic Shockwave CD Player, you need one.

Misleading Battery Info
One reason I bought this CD was because of the rechareable battery feature. What they don't tell you is in plain English is that you need special Ni-Cd batteries. It took me four stores and $20 dollors later to find them. I bought the Radio Shack brand. I put them in and naturally, they don't work. After a call to Panasonic, I find out you have to use only Panasonic brand Ni-CD batteries which are available in about 10 stores nationwide. You have to order them through Panasonic for an additional $13. Buy another brand that is designed with the consumer in mind and parts that are widely available.

Panasonic have the best cd players
This is one of the best cd players out there in the market, but flaws always come with products. Flaw#1 : After my friend used it every day for eught months, it just would not play copied cd's anymore. Mine is starting to skip a bit, but it's probably the cd. Flaw#2 : I was hesitating before buying it. It's bigger than the other cd players and more heavier... I compared in stores and the retailer said that it had a solid design, so when you'll drop it, it still plays smoothly. Flaw#3 : It's old. Flaw#4 : It's still expensive, but in Canada, it's cheaper(with the exchange rate of course)! Flaw#5 : I don't trust companies telling me how many hours it could play with only a pair of batteries(they proved it when tehy played it on a table at a temperature and using the best batteries).
What I liked about it was... -To be able to recharge batteries with it... but you couldn't be using it at the same time. -It doesn't skip, just trust me on this one. Jogging with it wasn't a problem for me. -When it gets extremely hot, cd players are not supposed to be out in the sun for even a few minutes, but this one has more protection, just don't try it outside, please. The heat will deform some parts of all cd players, so don't expose it too much in the sun.
I suggest it if you go jogging or travel a lot very often. From what I've seen, this is the most popular.
